CCSVI whilst still CIS?

Post by zjac020 »

Hi all,

Many years ago (we are talking 80s and 90s) a treatment here in Spain became popular amongst MS patients. It was known as CTOS and involved the cutting if part of the scalene muscle to ease pressure in the jugular vein.

I have located the doctor and had the basic tests done. Using Doppler he found the right juglar vein obstructed as he followed it up towards the skull. When measuring blood flow in both sides there was a clear difference between right and left side which became even more noticeable when I raised my arm during the Doppler. Most of my brain lesions (old) are on my right side, as is the lesion on my cervical spine they found shortly after my first event. Similarly the seuqele left by the event affect my right side.

I'm very interested in CCSVI as I firmly believe vascular health and circulation are heavily involved in MS. They offer the procedure here in Spain but I'd prefer somewhere like Poland where they have performed thousands of interventions. Has anyone undergone CCSVI whilst still in CIS diagnosis?

Thanks
Zjac

I gather then than no one in CIS has undergone CCSVI?
