I am a medical enigma.
I do have hypothyroidism, and whatever antibodies that proves it to be an autoimmune condition. I have PCOS, ADD inattentive type, and clinical depression. I also have various weird symptoms that I didn't expect were connected but maybe they are?
My doctor thinks maybe MS, and referred me to a nuerologist for testing. I haven't made that apt yet, because the apt with my GP just happened.
I have a disproportionate pain response to stimulus. My toddler will bump into me and it will hurt like a was punched.
I have electric shock like sensations in my neck. I've read it could be a sign of MS, but it happens to me when I bend my neck backwards not forwards. Usually when I throw my head back to laugh, a shock like feeling jolts down from the base of the back of my head to in between my shoulder blades. Then I usually have muscle twitches for a few minutes.
Sometimes I get so sensitive to light that I have to pull over and stop driving because I can't open my eyes. The light makes them slam shut. This lasts a few minutes and goes away. Sometimes when I try to sleep it feels like my eyes are rolling back in my head and a get a stabby feeling behind the eyes. Or a stabby feeling if I look hard in one direction or the other. And headaches that feel like a band across my head.
I have frequent strange sensations of vibrating where I actually check my pocket to see if it is my phone. Or horrible itchiness through out my whole body. No rash or bumps, but insatiable itchiness. Usually my hands and toes and back of my knees.
I have burning sensations, and cramping a lot too.
Have had episodes of pain that felt like a knot or something in my kidney area that was so persistant it would cause vomiting. Went to ER for that. Found nothing. That pain comes and goes.
Then the twitching. Muscles all over my body twiching, and sometimes jerking. There is movement in my stomach that feels like a seven month pregnancy. Muscles twitch and jerk all day long. It doesn't interfere with my life, but sometimes makes it hard to fall asleep.
And various ache and stiffness in my neck and back.
I am 34 years old and I feel 70. This has been going on for probably the last 5 or 6 years. Are these symptoms of MS, or just a random assortment? I am really new to the whole subject really.
Thanks for reading!

Re: Dr. thinks possible MS
hi and welcome bb
sorry to hear about all your symptoms.
can you share anything about your lifestyle in general? food/fluid habits? any allergies? dietary preferences or religious observances? current prescription or over the counter meds? supplements? where do you fall on the sedentary-athlete spectrum? might be some clues in there.
