Mouth symptoms in MS

Post by Gray »

Hello,

I am not diagnosed with MS or anything else at this point, but have symptoms consistent with MS, and am wondering if something I have been experiencing yesterday and today is something anyone with MS has experienced, and if so, is there any relief for it.

Yesterday I noticed that it felt kind of like I had stuff in my teeth, like when you eat an apple and get skin in between them, a kind of pressure type feeling. I hadn't eaten anything that would do that, but I went and used a water pick followed by regular floss and brushed my teeth, but it made no difference. Today it has persisted all day and is really driving me nuts. It is almost like when your foot falls asleep, but it is inside my mouth. I can handle the numbness and tingling everywhere else, the chest pain, weakness, loss of balance, the eye pain, even the constant ringing in my left ear that started up recently and won't stop, but this weird feeling in my mouth is absolutely horrible, and it is extending to my throat now, so it feels kind of tight, but I can swallow. Has anybody else experienced this, and if so is there anything that can be done to make it stop, or at least decrease?

Thank you!

hi there, haven't had mouth symptoms, just a scary broken throat issue. the only thing i have ever done that made me feel better, is nutritional stuff. i'm not 100% but am WAY better than when diagnosed in 2006. way better. the main thing that slows me down now is having blown my acl and mcl at work a couple winters ago and it's been painful healing so difficult to strengthen.
