Radiculopathy

Post by Rae423 »

I am a 22 year old female, United States Marine, more scared to be diagnosed with MS than I would be going to war.

I have been diagnosed with C7 and L5 radiculopathy. And I have a T2 hyperintense lesion in my brain. I've had dizzy spells, even while driving. (I've always pulled over if it did happen) I had one incident of memory loss, I had no idea where I was. I've been diagnosed with anxiety... I have pains throughout my legs and arms that can range from just annoying, to really painful. My neuro says the dizziness could be an inner ear problem. I will be getting a 24 video EEG in a couple days looking for seizures, in reference to the dizziness and forgetfulness.

Has anyone ever had symptoms like this? Also, how long did it take anyone to get a diagnosis? I've heard it taking up to 7 years...

Please, can someone give me some insight.

I, too, am still undiagnosed. I am a 30 year old female, living in the PNW.

I finally see my neurologist next week after MRI and X-ray showed no lesions on my spine. My legs have been going numb, my back is completely numb and in continuous pain, I've been having dizzy spells, and just like you, I had an instance when I was driving a couple months back, where I thought I was going to pass out. I slapped myself to stay awake and pulled over. My short term memory is fading fast as my boss, and family has noticed an influx of me forgetting things I just had gotten told.

I have numerous other symptoms, but waiting to see my neurologist and go from there. This is my first time replying on this board, as I have just been lingering waiting to see my neuro, but I thought I'd tell you I've had similar symptoms.

You can message me if you want and we can compare stories/symptoms.

Good luck!
