Hello all. An important study is posted below.
SURVEY-STUDY
LIVING WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND HOW IMPACT RELATES TO PSYCHOLOGICAL GROWTH
Researchers from Palo Alto University are conducting a study to learn about how the impact of having Multiple Sclerosis (MS) influences experiences of psychological growth. The research team consists of Leonard Beckum, Ph.D., Matt Cordova, Ph.D., Wendy Packman, J.D., Ph.D., and myself, Jason Zeltser, M.S. I became interested in the experience of those with MS in dealing with my own lifelong neuromuscular disease. It has sparked an interest in assisting those with chronic illness find lives that are fulfilling and satisfying. Chronic illness, can create a sense of uncertainty and unpredictability that is often difficult to manage. Therefore, gaining information regarding psychological, emotional, and social impacts will help health professionals understand the needs and work to improve the quality of life for those living with MS.
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete survey questions regarding your experience living with MS. We are requesting participation from adults (18 years or older) to complete questionnaires that will take no longer than 30 minutes of your time. All participants will have the option to be included in a raffle to receive one of four $25 VISA gift cards for your participation. Your individual responses will be kept completely confidential. Please remember that by agreeing to participate, you have made a valuable contribution!
