TV Doco on Mitochondria and Interval Training. Not MS spec

Post by CureOrBust »

Not MS specific, and only just screened here, so the download may not be available. It was very interesting.

"Fit In 6 Minutes A Week"
https://iview.abc.net.au/programs/catalyst

Its specifically about why interval training works, which it attributes mostly to mitochondria. There is no specific mention of MS but there is a passing comment regarding neurological effects and also they have a child with a mitochondria defect showing (or rather not showing) neurological effects which his brother does.

I was interested with all the news regarding biotin and R-ALA etc etc etc

and maybe in a few hours it will also be available for direct download

Hi,

It's a rerun of a catalyst show from earlier in the year. It is interesting though. What it really says is exercise is valuable but ,if done properly, doesn't have to be for hours and hours. Obviously that's easier for some than others.

Thanks. That was interesting. Maybe I can find a way out of the quicksand I currently find myself in.

Well, if the program is anything to go by, do it in short hard bursts.

I've been thinking of trying interval training on alternate days to my normal workout ever since I first saw the concept on the Mosely doco. Now, this program has really struck an interesting perspective.
