MS and heart rate

All MS patients have elevated sympathetic activity, so they prone to have tachycardias.

Don't worry, it rarely leads to serious cardiac complications, just do everything on a slower side.

I have been diagnosed with PVCs, or pre-ventricular contractions. It feels like a flutter or palpitation, and is most noticable to me after I eat. It diagnosed while I was wearing a 24 hour monitor for a month, because the aggravating thing about it is it would NEVER happen at the doctor's office (sort of reverse white coat syndrome). The cardiologist ordering the test was so unconcerned I never got called in for an office visit. I've had a couple bouts over the years with what I've been told was vasovagal syncope, in which BP would drop like a rock and I'd get real faint after eating. This would happen after getting really hungry, and then packing it in at a restaurant. I would wind up on the restuarant floor and generate unwanted excitement. Thankfully this has only happened twice.

I have no idea if it has anything to do with MS or not. I guess it could. Or it could be a lot of other things.
