Question for those who have had an MRV

I will be a participant in the Jacobs Neurological Institute study and will have an MRV. Is it similar to having an MRI with conrrast?

Very excited about qualifying for this study. Buffalo is my hometown so I will get to visit again. The weather is not as bad as rumored. And if you like chicken wings, Frank and Theresa's Anchor Bar is the HOME of chicken wings and near Buffalo General Hospital and was a hospital hangout when my mother was a nurse there.

I had an MRV of my head, and have never previously had an MRI with contrast. It seemed there would be NO difference to the patient really. The only thing that MAY be different, is, I assume when you get an MRI with contrast, it is simply an injection. While with an MRV, they insert a small IV (similar to injection, just that it stays in during the scan).

Cool! You got into Jacobs! I'll take one order of wings if you got time. That's really neat. Very happy for you. I just got my bill for my scan, it was 1,300. Then the in network reduction blah blah, it was like 700 bucks altogether. This was just the explanation of benefits from the insurance. I was like, wow, that was cheap! For an MRV? Then I realized, that was PROBABLY just the bill for the radiologist. Ding ding. Now do they foot the bill for the study I'm assuming? Never been in a study but seems they would right? :)
