Post by ahliasbat »

i was diagnosed last june and a few months before that i had a relapse and to date ive had 7. i know its different for every person and im curious if this is a relatively normal number, i dont know anybody with MS so i really need some insight. i dont know how bad these relapses even are compared to what others may have. if anyone can help i would really appreciate it! thanks a bunch!

i have never had what i would call a relapse, since my dx attack. i have definitely had times where my symptoms got worse, but those always turned out to be related to deficiencies or 'sub-optimalcies', ie dysphagia and magnesium, confusion (and low uric acid and d3) and zinc.

Since my dx in April 08 I have had 5 with a few before the actual dx. My last one was pretty severe and landed me in a chair for a month or 2. I haven't been back to 'normal' since July last year.

When I was on Rebif I had 4 relapses per year. I was considered an interferon-failure.
On Copaxone I might have 1-2 but not as severe as when I was on Rebif, and no-where as severe as pre-diagnosis.
