MSRC Statement on CCSVI and Dr Paulo Zamboni’s work.

Post by MSUK »

Not sure how many people on here have seen MSRC's statement with regards to CCSVI etc......

MSRC Statement on CCSVI and Dr Paulo Zamboni’s work.

"MSRC is very encouraged by the early results of Dr Paulo Zamboni’s work. There is no doubt that this area warrants a great deal more study. This could represent a completely novel approach to MS research which, if proven to be relevant, could be a “sea change” in the understanding of the mechanisms involved in the condition. There has already been a huge amount of interest about this study and MSRC will continue to report on any and all developments in this very important area. MSRC looks forward to the results of the further trials that are taking place and hopes that these studies are able to reproduce the findings of Dr Zamboni.” - Helen Yates MSRC Chief Executive

:D This is a much better response than the statements we have heard from the various MS societies. It is nice to know some MS organization is hopeful too.

Perhaps a stupid question, but where is msrc based? US? Uk?
Where does RC stand for? Research council?

Hope to read more from them. Refreshing indeed.

Hi Inge.

MSRC - The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre, is based in the UK and is one of the three main MS charities in the UK, although we are increasing our international coverage quite considerably via our website at http://www.msrc.co.uk and New Pathways Magazine which currently goes to 29 countries around the world.

Please feel free to visit the website or our Message Boards http://msrcsharing.yuku.com/directory or join in one of our weekly chat room sessions, details of which can be found at http://msrcsharing.yuku.com/topic/14733

kind regards
