Fundraising for McMaster University CCSVI Study

A leading expert in advanced MRI techniques, Dr. Mark Haacke, is an adjunct professor at McMaster University. He is helping to coordinate an effort in CCSVI at McMaster and St. Josephs's Hospital. This research will help address the CCSVI issue and help people across Canada be more aware of ongoing developments. We hope this will speed up the work of the CCSVI study and perhaps get more sites involved in clinically imaging patients across the country. St. Joseph's Hospital in conjunction with McMaster are currently in the process of obtaining human studies approval for this project.

There is plan to fund the quick start of the study with private donations.

Hi Deanie,

I do not wish to burst anybody's ballon's that my be considering donating to the researcher studing MS and or more specifically CCSVI.
While we might be interested in donating to this particular research with Dr Mark Haacke, the facts are not jibing.
McMaster U in Hamilton Ontario phone 905-521-2100 x 76074 ..... [neurology dept] [MS center] option 4 on message menu suggests that they are opposed to CCSVI testing at this time and do not know anything about Dr. Mark Haacke.
I have called the University and tried to connect with Terry Milson------she is away on holidays till Jan 4th. Her extension number is 27391
Personally, I would like to have some correlation to the two versions of messages at the same University before I would willing donate.
Lets hope that they can get their act together.

No need for them to work together....Dr. Haacke is a PhD researcher and inventor and is testing and documenting CCSVI in MS patients. No treatment involved. If the neuros don't want to participate, it's their loss.

Once again . Don't expect Toyota to work arm -in-arm with GM .

This is going to be a serious turf war .

If and when CCSVI succeeds ....millions of dollars will be lost.

The stronger the opposition .....the more I am convinced that CCSVI is the answer to MS .

I am learning and totally accept your advice-----I think I'll call the neuro people at the University tomorrow and ask some rather specific and pointed questions. Now I'll have some more specific info to challenge them
