Hi everyone:
Does anyone have any information on progressive-relapsing MS? Specifically typical initial symptoms and MRI results? I read somewhere that it attacks the neurons rather than the myeline. Any additional information would be helpful.
Thanks!

Thanks -- I think even from this small thread, the message is -- it could be a hell of a lot worse.

Re: Which pharma drug in the pipeline has the most promise?
It gives me hope that medication like these plus a strict diet, exercise, and supplements might actually get me through this for a prolonged amount of time.

Personally, I wish Rituxan would become available for MS patients. I am willing to take a bit of risk, although Tysabri seems way too risky for me.

I am still in limbo-land, but I had elevated liver enzymes during my first recognizable flare. The doctor re-ran the test after the flare, and the levels were normal.

Re: How will my course play out?
Interestingly I had pancreatitis when I was little from an adverse reaction on antibiotics I was taking. I just left a voicemail with me doctor to ask if my insulin levels have been checked, and if not, if they could please order the labs for me.

Fascinating. Thanks for the information.
I figure they will send me in for a LP after this next appointment. I hope I can get on treatment soon.

How will my course play out?
Hi everyone, 26 year old male from San Francisco here. I've had really intense MS symptoms for the past 30 days and minor tremors for the 30 days preceding that. My symptoms include numbness and tingling in my left side (and now a bit on the right), cognitive issues that have since left, face numbne...

Does Uhthoff's Phenomenon presume MS?
Hi everyone, Thank you in advance for your time. I am experiencing Uhthoff's Phenomenon (a bit of optic neuritis, tremors, and fatigue out of the shower) and other clear cut MS symptoms (numbness, cognition, slurred words). I am also fully in limbo-land in terms of a diagnosis (clean MRI of the spin...

Normal MRI -- intense MS symptoms; thoughts?
Hi everyone: I am a 26 year old male, and I just received word that my MRI was returned normal. To my surprise they indicated there are no lesions. I am at the place where I have been having intense MS symptoms for about a month. I've had everything from tremors, loss of cognition, speech difficulti...

Fumaderm/BG-12 and PML
Presuming Fumaderm is nearly identical to what will be shipped with BG-12, has there been a substantial number patients taking this medicine receiving PML? I can't seem to get a straight answer.
Thanks!
Thanks!
