Re: Do you guys know what myokymia is?
This is from the bfsrecovery site i am also on. I hope these sensory issues i am experiencing would be in fact related to bfs. What are the symptoms of BFS? Benign Fasciculation Syndrome can most succintly be described as a hyperexcitability of the neuromuscular system. BFS has a variety of symptoms...

Re: Do you guys know what myokymia is?
They (your word) also say that it's genetic, familial, benign, a precursor and nothing to worry about. ^Is this referring to myokymia? I keep finding stuff that always says it's pathological. Fascisulations (ugh i can never spell that word right) is what is considered benign. As for my face, that i...

Do you guys know what myokymia is?
They say myokymia (muscle twitches) is another symptom indicative MS. But it's hard to tell it apart from fascisulations (visually). On the emg they sound different. I'm going to go for a emg in Jan. I get twitches all over my body, but I also get twitches in my face, as well the left side of my fac...

Re: Tongue larger on one side?
I dont think it's that. I dont have any patches like shown and nothing hurts. Every time i look up tongue deviating/pulling to one side. They keep talking about this hypoglossal nerve and its relation to MS, ALS, Bulbar Palsy. The last 2 i fear more! Thank you Dr. Google! One person on bfs said she ...

Tongue larger on one side?
Im sorry for asking question after question. I try to refrain from forums, but my fears always draws me back in. Im going to see a neuro this Jan for a consultation and possibly EMG+Spine MRIs. The good news: Most of my symptoms have subsided! Visual stuff, aches/stiffness, headaches ect Bad news: a...

Re: whats the difference between cramps and spasticity
I go for walks, not a good runner because of my weak knees. They are long walks though. And i do notice that when i go for my walks the spasticity/stiffness subsides. Initiating the walks can hurt, but during my walk it is not there only to reemerge after i finish my walk. I used to do swimming but ...

Re: whats the difference between cramps and spasticity
I know i should feel lucky. But at this point i wish it were a cramp rather than it pointing to spasticity, i cant deal with this influx of symptoms creeping out in such a short time frame. From things i've read, i have sorta figured out is that all cramps are spasms, but not all spasms are cramps. ...

Re: whats the difference between cramps and spasticity
I haven't really been exerting myself anymore than usual. I'm not a big exerciser (I know I should change that). I'm rather a couch potato though my weight has been consitent throughout the years. I have heard of Charlie horses. Like an INTENSE localized pain pf something jabbing at that spot. But w...

Re: Megadosing b-12. Pee not turning bright yellow.
Hmm so from this it seems like the consensus is that for the most part the body does not really retain its vitamins. I'm not inferring this is the case, but maybe everybody has different natural levels we absorb vitamins and some of us our bodies just doesn't absorb as much as others or rather, keep...

Re: Megadosing b-12. Pee not turning bright yellow.
Lol it is a bit confusing now i look at it. In condensed version. I am asking why take vitamin supplements if in 2 weeks (the washout period) they would essentially be back to the levels BEFORE you took vitamins. Wouldnt your test levels be skewed regardless because some stays in your system? So eit...

Re: Megadosing b-12. Pee not turning bright yellow.
Thank for that info. Hmm when i look at the bottle riboflavin is at 100% rda. So i guess depending if i am deficient or not it may not be enough to notice a change. My question about the wash out period because i never understood why...... what exactly is the point of taking the vitamins if in 2 wee...

whats the difference between cramps and spasticity
I am ashamed to say i have never really had a cramp in my life before. The only cramp i have had was when i got an IUD inserted 2 years ago. It was the worst back pain i have ever felt. Comparable to the stomach flu pains. But other than that idk how it feels elsewhere. Lately the past week. I have ...

Megadosing b-12. Pee not turning bright yellow.
(Right off the bat, i havent been dx with ms) But im going through the motions. I have been taking vitamin b-12 to see if it is a b-12 deficiency. And they say there is no unsafe amounts to take it and the excess will be flushed resulting in bright yellow pee. I have been taking 5000 mcg of methyl b...
