Re: Heat intolerance vs hot flashes?

I get over heated to the point of turning red and sweating profusely. But it's not a flash, it lingers all day. When someone touches my skin, they don't feel the heat, they feel cool clammy skin. Anytime I start doing housework,(even a simple task such as folding clothes), I feel it coming on, and s...

Re: Dizzy spells

Wow! I'm glad I came back today to the site 8O .. Ive been having dizzy spells now for approx. 6weeks, with the blurry vision and sometimes nausea. But I dont see the room spinning around.. It seems to reside solely in my head, if that makes sense. I notice them happening while in the shower leanin...

chiropractors, good or bad?

I recently had a car accident in downtown houston when an elderly man ran the red light and hit my car on the passenger side. I felt a powerful jolt as my car slightly fish-tailed. I noticed some lower back pain, but I was so full of anxiety over the accident, I chose to not be checked out by anyon...

Re: A large-scale study of anxiety and depression in MS

Hi there! Well, I just read a few different studies in reference to anxiety and depression being connected to multiple sclerosis via vitamin D defeciency at the moderate to severe level. There is a wide array of ms- related issues we face related to this vitamin alone!

Re: How to go about choosing a new career? Advice needed PLE

I'm a dental hygienist, and since I started working full time again due to financial issues, Ive noticed a decline in the strength of my left hand, and that presents a problem since I'm left handed. I also have noticed poor balance affecting me most at times when I cant lean a patient all the way ba...

I feel like my life is on hold. I used to be so confident in my career as a hygienist. I really want to put an end to my pity party and get back in the game, but i'm afraid of failing. I know I can't take another hit to my self-esteem. How can you move forward with so much uncertainty in your futur...

I'm so happy you started this thread. We all need a place to let it all go, and know that we won't be judged. You know, my hands are my life. I'm also in the healthcare field. I'm a Dental Hygienist. I sit over patients all day using various small instruments to remove hard deposits from their teet...

I don't feel guilty about the anger that I feel inside toward people who disregard me as a hypochondriac, or a weak person. And when I see some loser parking in a handicapped parking spot illegally, I've been known to throw out the occasional remark to put them in their place. There's a significant...

Autonomic Nervous System breakdown detected with a bodyscan?

Hi all! I was wondering your experience, (if any), you've had with ANS problems related to M.S. I had a body scan that showed both sympathetic and parasympathetic problems related to my kidneys, pancreas, liver, and heart. Needless to say I was speechless. Very low magnesium, potassium, and other uns...

[/b] Thank you for confirming that i'm not some whining baby in regards to this relentless heat! I live in Houston Texas, the armpit of the United States. I have a never-ending cycle of symptoms right now, with no break in sight. I have muscle cramps, spasticity, and spasms, which, for the most part...

I agree that this topic is nothing but toxic for all of the people who have suffered at the hands of this disease. There is numerous studies and publications of the clinical evidence that supports not only the existence of this disease, but the scientific nature of it's destruction. As a whole, peop...

Does it mean youre not sweating effectively if youre head feels really hot, as if the heat rose to the crown and stopped? I turn red, as if I had a sunburn and I do sweat some, but it does'nt alleviate the overheated feverish sensation I have peaking at the crown of my head.My ears are affected as w...

People wonder, are you mentally challenged?

I've had days in the past where there would be an occasional mispronunciation of a common word, or lose my point in a conversation, but lately, I've been putting words in phrases in the wrong order, as well as in writing them down. Am I alone here?

The U.S. Is no better. If you don't look sick then you're not sick. I don't know of any way around this myself. Frustration, depression characterized as feeling worthless and trapped in your own body. Seeing the big picture is a concept rarely used by government officials, employers, or insurance co...
