Mark, You are on the mark. Patients Like Me founder, Jamie Heywood, has been able to predict ahead of published reports when a medication/procedure is working/not working for majority of patients due to the patients updating their responses to said treatment. Unfortunately, there were attacks by a f...

Jackie, Since you haven't had a response, I'm going to post with second hand knowledge. There is a site called Patients Like Me for MS where there is a thread on vitamin D with thousands of posts. When perusing the thread, many have spoken about the liquid drops raising their doctor tested vitamin D...

Blood Pressure
I know that many with MS have low blood pressure. For those that do and had the liberation procedure, did you have any noticeable change after the procedure. For the first fifteen years with MS, my blood pressure was always about 89-90 over 58-60. Even during 2 pregnancy. Because I exercised 5 days ...

I had an intermittent, sharp stabbing pain (side of neck) in the second week after angioplasty. I've also had an intermittent tightness in neck during weeks 2 and 3 after angioplasty. No swelling and soreness only for 2 days after angioplasty. My thoughts with this immediately went to the possibilit...

Jugular mentioned that the current MS drugs will be coming off patent in the near future. This is correct. However, the cost to setup/manufacture a generic bio-engineered drug to mirror those out there is not as simple as that seen with other medications so may not translate into as large a discount...

Dr. S. I have recently had my balloon angioplasty of the RIJV and LIJV with one of the valves being abnormal. Azygos was noted as ok. One of the notations in the findings documentation is that the lumbar vein is abnormal due to being enlarged. Is there any explanation that goes along with this type ...

Ines, Thanks for responding with your husband's experience and congrats for receiving the treatment. I think I had read somewhere about aspirin for arterial blood too. However, I'd think if it provides anticoagulant properties this would work for both the arteries and veins. Did the doctor talk to y...

Anyone on aspirin only after balloon angio (no stents)?
For those that have been through balloon angioplasty, I am seeing a real difference regarding the type and longevity of medication prescribed after the procedure. (Plavix, Coumadin, aspirin, War...) Is there anyone who is sensitive to medication that was put on an aspirin regime only? If yes, what w...
