Stem cell 'reboot' promising as MS cure
Thanks for the quote Algis I saw that bit of info. while reading the article. Did you post this specific part of the article for a reason? Just curious.
I know what you are saying Bob. It seems we get bits and pieces of the rebooting studies but none of the studies are conclusive enough where we can ever say for sure "it works". I really wish something would bite us in the ass soon!!!

""The “liberation procedure,” a controversial new surgical procedure that appears to cure multiple sclerosis, is based on circumstantial evidence and MS sufferers should not rush into getting it.
“If his observation stands up to other people being able to reproduce it,” “I think we’re going to have something of interest to chase, but we need to have the supporting evidence before we start reaming out blood vessels and pretending that this is going to cure the disease."
- Dr. Mark Freedman, director of MS research unit at The Ottawa Hospital

I think Dr Freedman has no right to rule something out without proper investigation as he would like the same respect when it comes to his investments/interests.
However I am happy that there looks to be 2 really good avenues opening up for us MSers: CCSVI and Stem Cells/Revimmune.
I believe that MS is an AND situation not an either/or.
I plan on doing both, anything we can do to beat this bugger of a condition!

Great points Fernando. I had the same questions when I read the article and I thought the phrase "long-term remission" that the author used was very vague. LR1234, I am sure there are plenty of anti-Freedman posts on the CCSVI forum if you need to exprees your utter disdain for the man.. Besides we have all been made aware over and over and over again about Freedman's views on CCSVI.
