Are these initial symtoms of MS?

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Are these initial symtoms of MS?

Post by timoria »

Hi All,

From two years I am suffering by strange symptoms. None of the doctors I visited could understand my problems. Can you please check this page and tell me if it could be MS?

Thanks.

Sorry, but I never, ever click on blind links like that.

If you want us to comment on your symptoms, you should copy and paste them here instead. However, every one of us has a unique set of symptoms, onset, progression of the disease, which is why it's often so difficult to diagnose MS.

When I was diagnosed, I didn't give the doctor any symptoms except a slight tremor in one finger, but his exam caught signs of neurological problems, he sent me for an MRI, and the abundance of brain lesions gave me an instant diagnosis.

Good luck!
Dx'd with MS & HNPP (hereditary peripheral neuropathy) 7/03 but must have had MS for 30 yrs before that. I've never taken meds for MS except 1 yr experiment on LDN. (I found diet, exercise, sleep, humor, music help me the most.)

Hi euphoniaa,

You are right, but I created a complex HTML page of my 7 episodes that cannot be pasted on this forum. It does not support HTML tables.

Please clean the URL from your answer as I did for my post.

Thanks.

But the blind link is still there, it's just disguised in your text now. I do NOT click on those. Especially those.

you could host a screen shot (jpg format) of the table and link to the online image.

The link contains my symptoms table with all the examinations/treatments I did and I am updating it frequently. It's not a simple picture I can post. What's wrong in linking another page? Internet is made all about this...

People post links here all the time, but unless I recognize the site, I will NEVER click on them. Others may take a chance on random links, but I don't. So...I have no comment on your symptoms, since I don't know what they are. Sorry.

Your best bet is to read all around this website, because pretty much every possible symptom -- MS or not -- has been discussed here. And, like I've posted here many times, the symptoms of all neurological diseases are so similar that symptoms alone don't really indicate definite MS, even to a doctor.

Good luck!

According to Dr. Bergman the name of the autoimmune disease is not important. The treatment for all of them is the same.

jimmy,

Do you know some posts where somebody solved their issues compensating their nutrient depletion? I gave a quick look to the posts you linked but I didn't see any "Wow, my symptoms went away!" after doing it.

Thanks.

Hi Jimmy,

Just had blood test on vitamin B, zinc, iron and copper. Can't wait to see the outcome.

Thanks.

here's the thanks post from a non ms-er that sticks in my mind the best - in so many cases it's a far longer process but this is an easy story, only two pages of posts on one topic to get the whole thing :)

http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-d ... ml#p193710

this post can get you an idea of some of the diagnosed folks you could ask about their experience working with nutrition -

http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-d ... ml#p221245

so just to clarify.. which vit B test did you have done? and are you testing serum IRON, or serum ferritin?

i'll keep an eye open re those results. do get your own copy and bring them here for interp - be aware that your results will probably all come back 'normal' but that sick ppl (from the mildly symptomatic to the outright diagnosed) are generally low to mid normal. while healthy ppl tend, for many essential nutrient levels, to have mid to high normal status.

chat again soon :)

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for reporting those posts. I believed you have many to show. In my local lab they have only one vitamin B test, the same also for other tests. Hopefully the will include multiple analysis.

In the meantime I found this interesting document. Check if it worth to be added to your super-detailed nutrition page:

Hi Jimmy,

Here are my results, will upload the full lab report tomorrow:

B12 282 pg/ml
Copper 74 mcg/dl
Zinc 836 microg/l
Sideremia 101 microgr%

I think I did a big mistake, I started taking BeTotal (Vitamin B complex) because I couldn't wait to see if my symptoms improve. Should I have investigated B12 better before starting? I took 3 pills (one per day) that should provide the 100% RDA.

I mean MMA and Hcy levels ?

Thanks.
