No argument with any of that. Try a ripe pear for breakfast as well. Sometimes you need something more aggressive than that to get 'flowing' again but a pears do work as do ripe figs. Sometimes you're all loaded up and you need a detonator. I find black coffee (real not instant) can also help. There are some very good medications to get you started. Don't be afraid to use them. You don't need to be in agony.
I would also use a good probiotic forever and it will help your gut flora during this stage.
